The Department of Biology at Texas State University is large and diverse. At any one time, there are about 35 faculty members and as many as 15 instructors. Faculty research interests span the entire continuum of biology from cell and molecular biology to ecosystem ecology and biogeography. We also have faculty that specialize in science education.
There are as many as 100 graduate students in Biology in four M.S. programs: Biology, Wildlife Ecology, Population and Conservation Biology, Aquatic Biology and a Ph.D. program in Aquatic Resources.
